Hiring in Kathmandu
Runner
The Opportunity
Signage work does not happen in one building. Materials sit with a vendor, a deposit has to reach the bank before it closes, and a client is waiting on site to be let in. The Runner is the person who makes all of that actually happen. It is a job for someone who knows their city, rides carefully, and can be trusted with cash and with other people's time. We are hiring for this role in Kathmandu, Itahari, Chitwan, Butwal and Dang — you will be based in one of them, not moved between them.
What You'll Do
- Make bank deposits and withdrawals, and return the paperwork the same day.
- Collect from and deliver to vendors, suppliers, and printers across the city.
- Coordinate at job sites: hand over materials, open access, and report back what you saw.
- Carry documents, cheques, and small materials between our office, the factory, and clients.
- Keep a simple written log of every errand, including what was collected and from whom.
- Flag delays early — a vendor who has not finished is worth a phone call before you arrive.
What We're Looking For
- A valid motorcycle licence, and your own motorcycle in good running order.
- Good knowledge of the roads and neighbourhoods in the city you are applying for.
- Honest and reliable with cash, cheques, and confidential documents. References required.
- Able to read and write Nepali; basic English helpful for paperwork.
- A working mobile phone, and the habit of answering it.
- Based in one of: Kathmandu, Itahari, Chitwan, Butwal, or Dang. Tell us which in your application.
